As you enter this 5 Room HDB unit, you will feel the relaxed and chill vibes that any homeowner would want. The client requested to use muted colors for the general area so we opted to use light-toned wood laminates for the cabinets and an off-white paint finish for the walls. We made sure that all colors complement the existing furniture that the client has. To give a little contrast, we also used wallpaper for the feature wall in the dining area.

Accent walls create a focal point and add more color to a room. It also gives a subtle depth to your walls as seen in this 5 Room HDB unit. Our favorite part in this unit would be the accent wall in the dining area wherein we incorporated an arch framework to draw attention to the height of the walls and to make the space more interesting and dynamic. To highlight the arch, we added a bold and bright wallpaper for a touch of drama. We also added a strip light around the curved outline to emphasize the hue of this wall finish. The client opted to have this modified because the previous layout of this HDB unit was too cluttered and dense. Thus, to accommodate our client’s request, we had to re-layout the whole interior space by hacking the walls in the kitchen area so we can give them a more comfortable space where they can do their everyday activities.
