Engaged By Design for our renovation and overall, we had a very good experience with them. Renovation sure will have some small things to settle along the way, but what we appreciated was that the team was responsive and willing to help follow through instead of just pushing everything back to us.

One thing we found quite reassuring was that they had CCTV set up during the renovation period as part of their site monitoring. It gave us the impression that the team takes site management seriously and has proper processes in place, instead of just leaving everything unchecked.

The team was also very experienced with smart home setup and configuration, which was very helpful for us. There were quite a few things we were unsure about, especially the lighting and pairing side. Sean even helped us pair the lights, which the lighting shop seller originally wanted to charge separately for. It may seem like a small thing, but this kind of extra help really made us feel that the team was sincere and generous.

Communication was clear throughout the project, and they updated us whenever there were things that needed our decision. There were some minor hiccups here and there, which is normal for renovation, but they handled them properly and did not leave us to deal with everything ourselves.

Overall, we are happy with the final outcome and thankful to the By Design team for making the renovation process much easier for us. Would recommend them to homeowners who want a responsible and experienced team, especially if you are also planning smart home or lighting setup.

Met with a few IDs before finally deciding on By Design Works to undertake renovation of a 5 room resale flat in late 2024. I had some vague ideas of what I thought I wanted, but Sean and his team with their extensive experience, asked all the right questions that guided me towards my end goal. Sean and team were very responsive and responsible throughout. He was mindful of budget and made good recommendations. He also came up with some novel ideas and solutions to overcome certain issues with elements that I wanted, but thought were impossible to achieve. After that project was done, I engaged By Design Work to undertake the renovation of another 5 room flat for a relative with different design and budget. Very happy the service of and support from Sean and his team.

By good fate, we chanced upon By Design when we were searching online for an ID to help with our renovation works.

The design proposal that was crafted for us surpassed our expectations. The end results were fantastic and received many compliments from our family and friends.

Their team is very professional and responsive to our needs. And they never fail to come up with creative and ingenious solutions to address our needs and help resolve issues that cropped up along the way.

I’d like to say a big thank you to Team Leader Sean and his colleagues Ela, Sharon and Joseph for being so supportive and always around through out our renovation journey.

Grateful to our lucky stars to have met and worked with By Design Works. Definitely will engage them again for our next place!!

We engaged Sean and his team for our home renovation and overall had a very positive experience. From the very beginning, our interactions with Sean stood out. He was professional, approachable, and sincere, which gave us confidence in the team and ultimately led us to decide to go with them.

Communication throughout the renovation was generally prompt and reassuring. Sharen and Luki were patient and thoughtful in working through our tricky layout, offering strong design proposals that balanced aesthetics and practicality. We often trusted and deferred to their recommendations and appreciated their design judgment.

Jonathan, our site manager, was dependable and proactive on the ground. As with all renovations, there were inevitable hiccups along the way, but what mattered was how the team responded. Jonathan was quick to react, hands-on when issues arose, and worked with us to find practical solutions.

While there were some timing and coordination challenges typical of renovation projects, the team’s service recovery was solid and issues were addressed once surfaced. We could see the genuine effort put in by the team to make things right.

Overall, we appreciate the hard work and commitment shown by the team, especially Sean, Sharen, Jonathan, and Luki, and we’re glad we chose to work with them. If you’re looking for an ID firm that values customer service, communicates openly, and takes ownership when challenges arise, we’d recommend them.

By Design gave us a difference impression as compare to other ID..

we have been going thru more then 7 ID but bydesign stands out and with their design/concept and they do things differently.

As a new home owner we can't visualize alot of things & By Design did a great help on that by showing the 3d render base on the initial concept we gave & we have not even sign with them. this is why they are different. Talking about design/ concept all of the 7 ID we consult their design came out with no extra input from their end. we as a new home owner we need experience ID as they have more ideas on where and how things can be done.

we are impress with the design & the rest is history. during reno phase definitely will have hic ups here and there but SEAN nv fails to get things right every time & fast.. very thankful for a trusted & responsible boss like him. thanks for the goodies too.. never regret engaging them. once again

Thanks to SEAN & team for all the hard work for building my dream home. i will definitely recommend to my friends & if u are looking to reno ur dream home .. gave them a shot.. u will be impress..
